Brake Light Switch: Service and Repair

STOPLAMP SWITCH







Removal

1. NOTE: Rotate the stoplamp switch counterclockwise to remove.

Disconnect the electrical connector and remove the stoplamp switch.

Installation







1. Pull the stoplamp switch plunger out to its full extent.

2. NOTE: The brake pedal must be applied while installing the stoplamp switch.

Install the stoplamp switch.

3. Slowly release the brake pedal.
4. Connect the stoplamp switch electrical connector.
