Fuel Temperature Sensor: Service and Repair
FUEL RAIL PRESSURE AND TEMPERATURE SENSORRemoval and Installation
1. Release the fuel system pressure.
2. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
3. Disconnect the fuel rail pressure and temperature sensor electrical connector and vacuum tube.
4. Remove the 2 bolts and the fuel rail pressure and temperature sensor.
- To install, tighten to 5 Nm (44 lb-in).
5. CAUTION: Be sure that the fuel rail pressure and temperature sensor is correctly aligned when re-installing to avoid damage to the O-ring.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
6. At key-on, following installation, check for leaks between the fuel rail pressure and temperature sensor and the fuel rail.
