NOTE: RH (Right Hand) seat shown, LH (Left Hand) seat similar.
Removal
NOTE: Refer to the installation steps in this procedure for seat track-to-floor retainer tightening sequence and specification.
NOTE: Always install new seat track-to-floor bolts.
1. WARNING: Turn the ignition OFF and wait one minute to deplete the backup power supply. Ignition must remain OFF until repair is complete. Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury or death in the event of an accidental deployment.
If installing a new component for a SRS (Supplemental Restraint System) fault, continue to step 2. Otherwise, turn the ignition off, wait at least one minute and continue to step 3.
2. NOTE: The air bag warning indicator illuminates when the correct RCM (Restraints Control Module) fuse is removed and the ignition is on.
Depower the SRS (Supplemental Restraint System). REFER to Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) Depowering and Repowering - with Intelligent Access (IA) or Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) Depowering and Repowering - without Intelligent Access (IA) . Service and Repair
3. At the front of the seat, remove the seat connector bolt.
4. Remove the 4 seat-to-track bolts.
1. Discard the seat-to-floor bolts.
Installation
NOTE: The SRS (Supplemental Restraint System) must be fully operational and free of faults before releasing the vehicle to the customer.
1. Install 4 new seat-to-floor bolts by hand.
2. NOTE: Make sure the seat tracks are properly latched and correctly seated to the floor pan before tightening the seat-to-floor bolts.
Tighten the new seat-to-floor bolts in the sequence shown.
- 35 Nm (26 lb-ft)
3. At the front of the seat, connect the seat connector.
- Tighten the seat connector bolt to 1 Nm (9 lb-in).
4. If the SRS (Supplemental Restraint System) was depowered, repower the SRS (Supplemental Restraint System). REFER to Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) Depowering and Repowering - with Intelligent Access (IA) or Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) Depowering and Repowering - without Intelligent Access (IA) .
