Refer to Fig. 198, when performing the following procedure.
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove two steering wheel pad retaining bolts from back of steering wheel.
3. Remove steering wheel pad.
4. Disconnect horn switch electrical connector.
5. Remove steering wheel shaft nut.
6. Using steering wheel puller tool No. 1859-03 or equivalent, remove steering wheel.
7. Remove two hood release attaching screws lever.
8. Remove four lower left trim panel retaining screws, Fig. 199.
9. Disconnect speaker electrical connector, then remove A/C duct from lower A/C register, if equipped.
10. Remove seven steering column cover retaining screws.
11. Remove two trim bezel retaining screws, Fig. 200.
12. Disconnect control/defogger switch electrical connector.
13. Disconnect rear wiper/washer switch, if equipped.
14. Disconnect two electrical connectors and cigar lighter from trim bezel.
15. Remove trim bezel, then four cluster bezel retaining screws.
16. Disconnect hazard flasher and dimmer switch electrical connectors.
17. Remove four instrument cluster retaining screws, Fig. 201.
18. Disconnect speedometer cable and remaining electrical connectors from instrument cluster.
19. Remove instrument cluster.
20. Remove two cup holder retaining screws, then the cup holder.
21. Remove four radio retaining screws, then pull radio from console.
22. Disconnect two radio electrical connectors and antenna from radio.
23. Remove three glove box door scuff plate retaining screws.

24. Remove one side trim panel retaining screw, Fig. 202.
25. Remove cowl side trim, then five glove box and trim assembly retaining screws, Fig. 203.
26. Pull glove box out of trim assembly, then disconnect speaker electrical connector.
27. Remove glove box and trim assembly.
28. Remove glove box retaining pins and glove box door from trim panel.
29. Remove four heater and A/C control unit retaining screws.
30. Remove remaining console retaining screws, then the console.
31. Remove five instrument panel retaining screws, Fig. 204.
32. Disconnect three instrument panel electrical connectors and one relay unit from left side of instrument panel.
33. Remove one electrical connector from right side of instrument panel, then disconnect defroster duct retainers and remove instrument panel.
34. Reverse procedure to install.
