Installing Manifold Gage Set

Installing Manifold Gage Set:






Install or Connect

^ Close both valves on manifold gage.
^ Charging hoses of gage set to charging valves; tighten nuts by hand.
^ When connecting to line fittings, connect low-side hose (left) to low-side fitting, high-side hose (right) to high-side fitting.

When connecting gage set to compressor, the letter "D" engraved near the compressor service valve indicates the high-pressure side; the letter "S" indicates the low-pressure side.

NOTICE: Do not apply compressor oil to the seat of the connection.

Remove or Disconnect

^ Close both pressure valves on manifold set.
^ Fully tighten handle of refrigerant drum valve.
^ Turn engine "OFF."
^ Charging hoses from service valves using shop rag. Perform this operation very quickly.
^ Install service valve caps.

CAUTION: High-pressure side is under extreme pressure. Care should be taken to protect skin and eyes.
