CODE 32 SHIFT SOLENOID "B"Code Chart 32:
Transaxle Valve Body Circuit:
CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION:
Based on the signal from the ECU, the oil circuits are changed to control shifting, lock-up operation and engine braking. When shift solenoid "B" is engaged, the economy mode is activated and the transaxle shifts according to vehicle speed, not throttle opening.
TEST DESCRIPTION: Numbers below refer to the circled numbers on the diagnostic chart.
1. With DVM, there should be B+ at BRN/RED wire with key "ON."
2. There should be B+ with drive wheels turning in second gear.
3. Resistance of solenoid should be 20 to 30 ohms.
DIAGNOSTIC AIDS:
A faulty connection or an open or short in the BRN/RED wire can result in a Code 32. An intermittent may be caused by a poor connection, rubbed through wire insulation or a wire broken inside the insulation.
