General Description

Rotary Vane Compressor:

This rotary vane type compressor has five vanes built into a rotor. The rotor, intern, is mounted on a shaft. When the shaft rotates, the vanes are engaged by centrifugal force

and by the use of a trigger valve, which applies back pressure to the vanes during start-up. This action changes the volume of the space formed by the rotor and cylinder, resulting in the intake and compression of the refrigerant gas.

The only serviceable components of this compressor are the magnetic clutch assembly, case (compressor housing) temperature switch and the high-pressure relief valve (and O-ring seal).
