Some 1989-90 GEO M, R cars and J trucks may experience key breakage usually when lifting the hatch, but sometimes in the door or ignition. A new copper/nickel alloy key has been released with a greater resistance to breaking. This key may be cut with either a follower or punch type cutter. The part numbers for this new key are:

96065464 - GEO

This new key has been in production since November, 1990.
