Shift Linkage: Adjustments

Shift Control Cable
1. Place the ignition key in the LOCK position.
2. Set the gear selector lever in the Park position.
3. Loosen the adjuster nuts at the transaxle Fig. 2.
4. Ensure shift lever at the transaxle is in the ``PARK'' position.
5. Pull the cable forward and tighten forward adjuster nut until it contacts shift lever.
6. Tighten rear adjuster nut until it contacts shift lever, then tighten both adjuster nuts.

Back Drive Cable
1. Place shift lever in Park position.
2. Place ignition switch to the LOCK position.
3. Pull cable forward at shift lever bracket, then tighten forward adjuster nut until contact is made against the bracket.
4. Tighten rear nut until it makes contact with shift lever bracket, then tighten both adjuster nuts.
