Section 8A-9O Base Wiper System without Intermittent Feature (Revised Diagnosis)

Please follow these instructions to obtain the proper diagnostic information when diagnosing an inoperative base wiper system (without the intermittent feature).
^ 1992-93 Geo Metro - Use the 1993 Geo Metro Service Manual (ST370-93) in conjunction with the information contained within this Service Manual Update (as described below).
^ 1994 Geo Metro - Use the 1994 Geo Metro Service Manual (ST370-94) in conjunction with the information contained within this Service Manual Update (as described below).
Please substitute or add (as instructed) the following information to Section 8A-90 Wiper/Washer System in the 1993 Geo Metro Service Manual (ST370-93) and the 1994 Geo Metro Service Manual (ST370-94).
^ The System Check contained within this Service Manual Update replaces the System Check in the Service Manuals described above.
^ The Symptom Table contained within this Service Manual Update replaces the Symptom Table in the Service Manuals described above.
^ Chart # 3 contained within this Service Manual Update replaces Chart # 3 in the Service Manuals described above.
^ Chart # 8 contained within this Service Manual Update is in addition to the Charts in the Service Manuals described above.
^ Please disregard the second paragraph of text under "Washer Operation" in the "Circuit Operation" of the Service Manuals described above. (The operation of the Front Washer Pump as described in the paragraph in question, is incorrect. The wipers do not operate while the Front Washer Pump is activated unless the Front Wiper/Washer Switch is moved to the "LO" position).
