Wiper Gear Box: Service and Repair

Fig. 10 Front Windshield Wiper/Washer Motor & Linkage Assembly:

FRONT

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove both wiper arm and blade assemblies.
3. Remove five push pins and left hand cowl panel.
4. Remove three push pins and left hand cowl panel.
5. Remove front wiper motor from vehicle as described under WIPER MOTOR.
6. Remove four nuts attaching wiper motor linkage, then remove wiper motor linkage through left hand cowl cover opening, Fig. 10.
7. Reverse procedure to install.

Fig. 11 Rear Windshield Wiper/Washer Motor & Linkage Assembly:

REAR

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove wiper blade and arm assembly, Fig. 11.
3. Remove rear wiper motor as described under WIPER MOTOR.
4. Remove two nuts attaching wiper linkage to rear lid.
5. Remove linkage through left hand side of rear lid.
6. Reverse procedure to install.
