Backup Lamp: Description and Operation

Whenever the ignition switch is in the "ON" position, Battery voltage is applied through the GAUGE Fuse to the BACKUP LAMP SWITCH (Manual Transaxle) or NEUTRAL START SWITCH (Automatic Transaxle). When the gearshift control lever (Manual Transaxle) or manual selector (Automatic Transaxle) is placed in "R," the switch closes and Battery voltage is applied to the Backup Lamps. The Backup Lamps are permanently grounded at G408.
