New Compressor
All new compressors are shipped with a charge of 150 ml (5.10 fl.oz.) of compressor oil, this is the oil capacity for the entire A/C system. Therefore. it is necessary to drain off some oil to reach the correct oil level prior to installation on the vehicle.
1. Drain the oil from the new compressor through the discharge and suction ports into a clean container. Insert a screwdriver into the suction port, depressing the check valve and allowing the oil to flow out. The oil will flow freely from the discharge port. Measure and record the amount of oil drained.
