Rear Wiper/Washer System

REAR WIPER

Voltage is applied to the REAR WIPER WASHER SWITCH through Fuse C-3 whenever the ignition switch is in the "ON" position. When the REAR WIPER/WASHER SWITCH is pressed to any position other than OFF, voltage is applied to the REAR WIPER MOTOR. Because it is permanently grounded at G401, the REAR WIPER MOTOR operates as soon as voltage is applied. When the REAR WIPER/WASHER SWITCH is OFF, voltage remains applied to the REAR WIPER MOTOR by a cam actuated switch until the wipers reach the PARK position.

REAR WASHER

When the REAR WIPER/WASHER SWITCH is pressed to either MIST/WASH or WIPER/WASH, voltage is applied through Fuse C-3 and the REAR WIPER/WASHER SWITCH to the REAR WASHER PUMP. Because it is permanently grounded at G404, the REAR WASHER PUMP operates as long as the REAR WIPER/WASHER SWITCH is held in either of these positions.
