False setting of Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) diagnostic trouble code 22 "Air Bag Indicator Circuit Fault".

If the electrical harness connectors which attach to the back of the instrument cluster are removed while the battery is connected, and the ignition switch is cycled to the "ON" or "START" position, a trouble code 22 will be set in the SRS diagnostic trouble code memory.

CORRECTION:

This code may be removed from the DTC memory using the procedure found in the 1993 Prizm Service Manual. After reconnecting the electrical harness to the instrument cluster and removing the trouble code from the DTC memory, verify that there are no additional reasons for trouble code 22 to be set in the memory.
