1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove A-pillar lower trim panel from both sides.
3. Remove steering wheel as described in Steering and Suspension / Steering/Steering Wheel. Steering
4. Remove five screws and steering column upper and lower trim panels.
5. Remove center console, Fig. 66.
6. Remove two screws and instrument cluster trim panel, disengaging two lower clips.
7. Remove four screws and instrument cluster assembly, disconnecting three electrical connectors.
8. Remove one screw and instrument panel left side ventilation duct. Unsnap and remove right side ventilation duct.
9. Disconnect left, center and right side electrical connectors and fuse blocks from under instrument panel.
10. Disconnect left and right ground wires.
11. Remove three heater control assembly screws and set heater control assembly aside.
12. On models equipped with cruise control, remove cruise control module and disconnect electrical connector.
13. Disconnect and remove ground wires from instrument panel support bracket.
14. Disconnect electrical connectors from heater evaporator case, then unclip and remove right and left lower B-pillar trim covers.
15. Disconnect rear door lock connectors, if equipped, then unclip and remove A-pillar trim covers and remote control mirror switch electrical connector, if equipped.
16. Remove two bolts and two nuts and disconnect steering column from instrument panel.
17. Remove four mounting bolts from instrument panel.
18. Remove instrument panel from vehicle by lifting up and pulling rearward, disengaging five clips, Fig. 67
19. Reverse procedure to install.
