Fillpipe Restrictor: Description and Operation
Fuel Filler Neck:
The fuel filler neck has a built-in restrictor and deflector to help prevent refueling with leaded fuel. The opening in the restrictor will accept only the smaller unleaded gasoline fuel nozzle which must be fully inserted to bypass the deflector. Attempted refueling with a leaded fuel nozzle will result in fuel splashing out of the filler neck. The filler neck attaches to the fuel tank using a rubber hose and clamps. An overflow tube (which is an integral part of the filler neck) also uses a hose and clamps to connect it to the tank.
