Fuel Pump Relay: Service and Repair

Fuel Pump (Circuit Opening) Relay:

Remove or Disconnect

1. Negative (-) battery cable.

2. Center console.

3. Circuit opening relay electrical connector.

4. One bolt and circuit I/P bracket.

Install or Connect

1. Circuit opening relay to I/P bracket; secure with one bolt.

Tighten

- Circuit opening relay bolt to 10 Nm (89 lb.in.)

2. Circuit opening relay electrical connector.

3. Center console.

4. Negative (-) battery cable.


Tighten

- Negative (-) battery cable-to-negative (-) battery terminal retainer to 15 Nm (11 lb-ft).
