CIRCUIT OPERATION
Whenever the Ignition Switch is in the "ON" or "START" position, battery voltage is applied through the WIP Fuse to the Windshield Washer Pump, the Windshield Wiper/Washer Switch and the Windshield Wiper Motor.

WASHER OPERATION
When the Washer Switch is pressed, a ground is provided to the Windshield Washer Pump through the WASH contacts of the Windshield Wiper/Washer Switch and Junction Connector 1 to G200. The Windshield Washer Pump operates as long as the Washer Switch is pressed. Depressing the Washer Switch alone will not initiate wiper operation. To initiate wiper operation, the driver must turn the Windshield Wiper/Washer Switch to the "MIST," "LO" or "HI" position.

MIST OPERATION
When the Windshield Wiper/Washer Switch is held in the "MIST" position, battery voltage is applied through the WIP Fuse and the closed "MIST" contacts of the Windshield Wiper Switch to the LOW side of the Windshield Wiper Motor. Since the Windshield Wiper Motor is permanently grounded at G102 it starts to turn and engages the Windshield Wiper Motor Pawl and Switch. While the Pawl is turning with the motor, the switch remains closed for one wipe cycle.

With this switch closed, battery voltage is applied through the WIP Fuse, the Windshield Wiper Motor Pawl and Switch contacts and the "OFF" contacts of the Windshield Wiper/Washer Switch to the LOW side of the Windshield Wiper Motor. In this manner, the Windshield Wiper Motor will continue to complete at least one full wipe cycle even though the Windshield Wiper/Washer Switch is released.

LOW OPERATION
With the Windshield Wiper/Washer Switch in the "LO" position, battery voltage is applied through the WIP Fuse and the closed "LO" contacts of the Windshield Wiper/Washer Switch to the LOW side of the Windshield Wiper Motor. Since the Windshield Wiper Motor is permanently grounded at G102, the motor operates at low speed as long as the switch remains in this position.

HIGH OPERATION
With the Windshield Wiper/Washer Switch in the "HI" position, battery voltage is applied through the WIP Fuse and the closed "HI" contacts of the Windshield Wiper/Washer Switch to the HIGH side of the Windshield Wiper Motor. Since the Windshield Wiper Motor is permanently grounded at G102, the motor operates at high speed as long as the switch remains in this position.
