Horn: Description and Operation

CIRCUIT OPERATION
Voltage is applied at all times to the Horn Relay through the HAZ-HORN Fuse. When the steering wheel pad is depressed the Horn Switch contacts close, thus providing a ground to the coil of the Horn Relay. When the coil of the relay is grounded, the relay energizes and the contacts close, applying battery voltage directly to the Horn. Because the Horn is permanently grounded, the Horn will sound as long as the steering wheel pad is depressed.
