Troubleshooting Hints - Compressor Controls
PERFORM BEFORE BEGINNING SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS1. Check GAUGE Fuse with a fuse tester.
2. Check A/C Fuse with a fuse tester.
3. Check that the Heater Relay is securely mounted in Junction Block 2.
4. Check that the A/C. MG Relay is securely mounted in the A/C Fuse and Relay Box.
5. Check that the Blower Motor operates. Refer to Heater Diagnosis, for Blower Motor and Heater System Check.
6. Check that G204 is clean and tight.
7. Check that the A/C System is properly charged with refrigerant.
8. If the A/C Fuse continually opens, check for a short to voltage in the following wires:
^ BLU/RED wire between Junction Block 2 and the A/C Triple Switch.
^ BLU/RED wire between Junction Block 2 and the A/C MG Relay.
^ BLU/BLK wire between Junction Block 2 and the A/C Switch.
^ YEL or YEL/WHT wire between the A/C Switch and the A/C Amplifier.
9. Before component replacement.check for poor connections at related component and in-line harness connector terminal connections.
