Manifold Pressure/Vacuum Sensor: Service and Repair

Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) Sensor:

MANIFOLD ABSOLUTE PRESSURE SENSOR REPLACEMENT

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Negative (-) battery cable.
2. One vacuum hose from Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor.
3. MAP sensor electrical connector.
4. One bolt and MAP sensor with bracket from bulkhead.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. MAP sensor with bracket to bulkhead; secure with one bolt. Tighten MAP sensor bolt to 15 Nm (11 lb. ft.).
2. MAP sensor electrical connector.
3. One vacuum hose to MAP sensor.
4. Negative (-) battery cable. Tighten negative (-) battery cable-to-negative battery terminal retainer to 15 Nm (11 lb. ft.).
