Washer Operation

When the Washer Switch is pressed, a ground is provided to the Windshield Washer Pump through the WASH contacts of the Windshield Wiper Washer Switch and Junction Connector 1 to G200. The Windshield Washer Pump operates as long as the Washer Switch is pressed.Depressing the Washer Switch will also initiate wiper operation. When the Washer Switch is depressed, voltage is supplied through the internal circuitry (if the Windshield Wiper/Washer Switch to the LOW side of the Windshield Wiper Motor) the Windshield Wiper Motor is permanently grounded at G102, the wipers will operate until the Washer Switch is released. As the motor turns, the Windshield Wiper Motor Pawl and Switch is engaged and turns along with the motor. This pawl and switch remains closed for one wipe cycle. With this switch is closed, battery voltage is applied through the WIP Fuse, the Windshield Wiper Motor Pawl and Switch contacts and through the internal circuitry of the Windshield Wiper/Washer Switch to the LOW side of the Windshield Wiper Motor In this manner, the Windshield Wiper Motor will continue to complete two wipe cycles even though the Washer Switch is released.
