General Description

The backup lamps are incorporated into the rear combination lamps. They are designed to operate with the ignition in the ON position. Placing the gear selector lever (manual transaxle equipped vehicles) or manual selector lever (automatic transaxle equipped vehicles) in R completes the backup lamps circuit and turns the backup lamps on. This is accomplished through the backup lamp switch (manual transaxle equipped vehicles) or the transmission range switch (automatic transaxle equipped vehicles).
