Daytime Running Lamps (DRL)
The daytime running lamps (DRL) are standard equipment on all models. There is a DRL indicator on the instrument panel cluster assembly which illuminates whenever the DRL system is active. Operating through the low beams at a lower than normal output, the DRL system operates under the following conditions:1. When the engine is running.
2. When the parking brake is not applied.
3. When the light/dimmer/turn signal combination switch lever is in either the off or parking lamps position.
This system has a DRL resistor which is located inside the left front wheelwell, and a DRL control module which is located in the instrument panel, between and above the brake and accelerator pedals.
