Fuel Pressure Sensor/Switch: Service and Repair
Removal Procedure1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
2. Remove the fuel tank from the vehicle. Refer to Fuel Tank Replacement.
3. Disconnect the [1][2]fuel tank pressure sensor electrical connector.
4. Remove the two bolts and the [1][2]fuel tank pressure sensor from the fuel tank.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the [1][2]fuel tank pressure sensor to the fuel tank.
Important: Install the [1][2]fuel tank pressure sensor to the fuel tank with the sensor terminals facing the fuel level sensor (gauge) side.
2. Secure the [1][2]fuel tank pressure sensor with two bolts. Tighten the two fuel tank pressure sensor bolts to 1.2 to 2.0 Nm (11 to 18 lb. in.).
3. Connect the [1][2]fuel tank pressure sensor electrical connector.
4. Install the fuel tank to the vehicle. Refer to Fuel Tank Replacement.
5. Connect the negative (-) battery cable. Tighten the negative (-) battery cable-to-negative (-) battery terminal retainer to 5.5 Nm (4 lb. ft.).
