Troubleshooting Hints - Compressor Controls

PERFORM BEFORE BEGINNING SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS
1. Check GAUGE Fuse.
2. Check A/C Fuse.
3. Check that the Heater Relay is securely mounted in Junction Block 2.
4. Check that the A/C MG Relay is securely mounted in the A/C Fuse and Relay Box.
5. Check that the Blower Motor operates. Refer to System Check of Heater in Electrical Diagnosis. System Check - Heater
6. Check that G204 is clean and tight.
7. Check that the A/C System is properly charged with refrigerant. Refer to Refrigeration System Checks in Air Conditioning.
8. If the A/C Fuse continually opens, check for a short to voltage in the following wires:
^ BLU/RED wire between Junction Block 2 and the A/C Dual Pressure Switch.
^ BLU/RED wire between Junction Block 2 and the A/C MG Relay.
^ BLU/BLK wire between Junction Block 2 and the A/C Switch.
^ YEL or YEL/WHT wire between the A/C Switch and the A/C Amplifier.
9. Before component replacement, check for poor connections at related component and in-line harness connector terminal connections.
