General Description

The backup lamps are mounted on the rear compartment lid and consist of a clear bulb and a clear lens. The backup lamps are designed to operate with the ignition in the ON position. Placing the transaxle in R closes the backup lamp circuit and turns the backup lamps on. This is accomplished through the Backup Lamp Switch (manual transaxle equipped vehicles) or the Park/Neutral Position (PNP) switch (automatic transaxle equipped vehicles).
