Center Mounted Brake Lamp: Description and Operation

The Center High-Mounted Stoplamp (CHMSL) contains two bulbs and is located in the center of the rear seat-to-rear window trim panel. The CHMSL is designed to operate in conjunction with the stoplamps whenever the brake pedal is depressed.
