Center Mounted Brake Lamp: Service and Repair

Description:

Remove or Disconnect
1. Negative (-) battery cable.
2. Two plastic clips and CHMSL housing from stoplamp assembly.
3. Two bolts and CHMSL. from vehicle, disconnecting electrical connector.
4. CHMSL bulb socket(s) (if required).
5. CHMSL bulb(s) (if required).

Install or Connect
1. CHMSL bulb(s) (if removed).
2. CHMSL bulb socket(s) (if removed).
3. CHMSL electrical connector.
4. CHMSL to vehicle; secure with two bolts.

Tighten
^ CHMSL bolts to 5.4 N.m (48 lb.in.).

5. CHMSL housing to stoplamp assembly; secure with two plastic retaining clips.
6. Negative (-) battery cable. Refer to Battery Replacement in Battery.
