Tail Lamp: Service and Repair

Description:

Remove or Disconnect
1. Negative (-) battery cable.
2. Open rear compartment lid.
3. Two bolts from side of rear combination lamp assembly.
4. One nut from rear combination lamp assembly, gaining access through luggage compartment.
5. Gripping both ends of rear combination lamp assembly, pull firmly, but gently, to release pin from clamp and remove assembly from vehicle.
6. Stoplamp, taillamp, and/or turn signal lamp socket(s) from rear combination lamp assembly, as required.
7. Stoplamp, taillamp, and/or turn signal lamp bulb(s) from socket(s), as required.

Install or Connect
1. Stoplamp, taillamp, and/or turn signal lamp bulb(s) to socket(s), if removed.
2. Stoplamp, taillamp, and/or turn signal lamp socket(s) to rear combination lamp assembly.
3. Push firmly, but gently, along outside edge of rear combination lamp assembly until pin engages clamp.
4. Two bolts and one nut to rear combination lamp assembly.

Tighten
^ Rear combination lamp assembly nut and bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb.in.).

5. Close rear compartment lid.
6. Negative (-) battery cable.
