Positive Crankcase Ventilation: Testing and Inspection

PCV SYSTEM
An engine which is operated without any crankcase ventilation can be damaged. Therefore, it is important to replace the Positive Crankcase Ventilation ([1][2]PCV) valve and air inlet filter/separator (where used) at specified intervals. Periodically inspect the hoses and clamps and replace any showing signs of deterioration.
