Fuel Pump: Service and Repair

Removing Fuel Pump:

Removing Fuel Pump Strainer:

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the fuel sender assembly. Refer to Fuel Sender Assembly Replacement.
2. Remove the fuel pump from the fuel pump bracket by pulling off the lower side of the fuel pump from the fuel pump bracket.
3. Disconnect the fuel pump electrical connector.
4. Remove the one clamp and the fuel pump hose from pump.
5. Remove the one clip and the fuel pump strainer from the fuel pump.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the fuel pump strainer to the fuel pump; secure with one clip.
2. Install the fuel pump hose to the fuel pump; secure with one clamp.
3. Connect the fuel pump electrical connector.
4. Install the fuel pump to fuel pump bracket.
5. Install the Fuel sender assembly. Refer to Fuel Sender Assembly Replacement.
