Fuel Tank: Description and Operation
DESCRIPTIONThe fuel tank is used to store fuel for the vehicle. It has a 50 liter (13.2 gallon) capacity. The tank is constructed from steel, and is located underneath the left rear seat cushion and is held in place with four bolts. The tank's shape allows for a constant supply of fuel around the fuel pump strainer during low fuel conditions and also during sudden vehicle maneuvers.
The fuel tank along with its pipes and hoses should be checked for road damage which could result in leakage. Also inspect the fuel filler cap for a correct seal or any indications of physical damage.
