Crankshaft Position Sensor: Service and Repair

Wiring Diagram:

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Disconnect the CKP Sensor electrical connector. Raise and suitably support vehicle.
3. Remove one bolt.
4. Remove the CKP sensor from vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install CKP sensor to vehicle.
2. Secure the CKP sensor with one bolt.
TIGHTEN
^ CKP sensor bolt to 9.3 Nm (82 lb. in.).



NOTE: Lower vehicle.

3. Connect the CKP sensor electrical connector.
4. Connect the negative battery cable.
TIGHTEN
^ Negative (-) battery cable-to-negative (-) battery terminal retainer to 15 Nm (11 lb. ft.).
