Manifold Pressure/Vacuum Sensor: Service and Repair

Wiring Diagram:

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the MAP sensor.
3. Disconnect the MAP sensor electrical connector.
4. Remove one bolt.
5. Remove the MAP sensor from bulkhead.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Install the MAP sensor with bracket to bulkhead.
2. Secure the MAP sensor with one bolt.
TIGHTEN
^ MAP sensor bolt to 15 Nm (11 lb. ft.).
2. Connect the MAP sensor electrical connector.
3. Connect the vacuum hose to MAP sensor.
4. Connect the negative battery cable.
TIGHTEN
^ Negative (-) battery cable-to-negative (-) battery terminal retainer to 15 Nm (11 lb. ft.).
