ADJUST
1. Start and run engine until normal operating temperature is attained.
2. Connect a scan tool to DLC, and select engine RPM.
3. Disconnect throttle opener vacuum hose at throttle opener and plug the hose end (Figure 4).
4. Maintain engine speed at approximately 2,500 RPM.
5. Release the throttle lever and make sure that the throttle opener is set and the engine speed is 1,300 - 1,500 RPM with the radiator fan motor OFF. Replace the throttle opener if it does not set.
6. Adjust throttle opener setting speed by turning the adjusting screw clockwise to increase engine speed and counterclockwise to decrease engine speed (Figure 5).
7. Reconnect vacuum hose to throttle opener.
