Prizm Manual Transaxle

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Battery negative (-) cable.





2. VSS electrical connector from VSS.
3. One retaining bolt and VSS from transaxle.

Inspect
- VSS driven gear for excessive wear or damage. Replace VSS as necessary.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. VSS into transaxle; secure with one retaining bolt.
- Tighten VSS retaining bolt to 11 Nm (97 inch lbs.).
2. VSS electrical connector to VSS.
3. Battery negative (-) cable.
