Knock Sensor: Service and Repair

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Negative (-) battery cable.
^ Raise and suitably support vehicle.
2. Knock Sensor (KS) wiring harness connector from KS.
3. KS from engine block.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. KS to engine block. Be sure threads are clean. Tighten KS to 45 Nm (33 lb. ft.).
2. KS wiring hamess connector to the KS.
^ Lower vehicle.
3. Negative (-) battery cable. Tighten negative (-) battery cable-to-negative (-) battery terminal retainer to 15 Nm (11 lb. ft.).
