Preliminary Information - Charge Indicator

Check the charge indicator for normal operation. Turn the Ignition Switch to the "ON" position to initiate the indicator bulb check. The charge indicator will remain lit with the Ignition Switch in the "ON" position and the engine off. The charge indicator will go out after approximately 2 seconds once the engine has been started. If the charge indicator stays illuminated and does not go out after 2 seconds. If the charge indicator operates normally, refer to Undercharged Battery. System Diagnosis - Undercharged Battery
