Automatic Transmission/Transaxle: Application and ID

The A245E 4-speed automatic transaxle identification number is located on the top of the transaxle case in front of the vent tube. The vehicle identification number (VIN) is stamped into a plate which is riveted to the case of both transaxles. This plate must be transferred if transaxle case replacement becomes necessary.





Additional transaxle identification information can be found on the service parts identification label. This label contains information on Regular Production Options (RPO) as well as standard equipment. This label is affixed to the spare tire cover of each vehicle at the assembly plant.
