Carburetor: Testing and Inspection
1. Ensure engine is cold, remove air cleaner, then open and close throttle fully while observing choke. Choke should close fully, however, with ambient temperature above 82°F, choke may not close completely but should close to within 1/8 inch.
2. If choke does not close fully, remove choke cover, and clean and adjust linkage as needed.
3. Reinstall cover and adjust so index marks align. If choke still does not close properly, replace cover and recheck.
