Wind Whistle from Door Window Sill

Door Trim Panel:

PROBLEM

With the blower on HIGH and the vent controls set for OUTSIDE AIR, you can hear a whistling noise coming from the door window sill. The whistling stops when you change the controls from OUTSIDE AIR to RECIRCULATE.

NOTE: The car does not have to be moving to check the problem.

CORRECTIVE ACTION

1. Remove the door trim panel.

2. With a razor blade, cut two 4-inch sections out of the lower lip on the window weatherstrip in the locations shown.


3. Reinstall the trim panel.
