Distributor: Service and Repair

CIVIC, CIVIC WAGON & CRX
1. Disconnect 2 pin and 6 pin or the 8 pin connectors from distributor.
2. Tag spark plug wires for proper assembly, then disconnect them from distributor cap.
3. Remove distributor hold down bolts and the distributor.
4. Coat new O-ring with engine oil and install it on distributor, then place distributor in position.
5. Install hold down bolts and tighten temporarily.
6. Connect 2 pin and 6 pin or the 8 pin connectors to distributor, then connect spark plug wires.
7. Adjust ignition timing, then tighten hold down bolts.
