ACTUATOR CABLE ADJUSTMENT

Check actuator cable for smoothness of operation.

1. Start engine, then measure actuator rod travel until the cable moves accelerator lever, increasing engine speed. This distance should be between .37 to .49 inch, Fig. 42.
2. If actuator rod movement is not within limits, by loosen lock nut and turn adjusting nut until specified travel is obtained.
3. After completing adjustment, tighten lock nut.
