General System Description
The Honda Accord uses a fuel control system called Programmed Carburetion (PGM CARB). The main component consists of a Keihin 2bbl carburetor with a vacuum operated secondary system. The PGM unit controls fuel mixture through a solenoid valve that regulates the carburetor main circuit air bleed. For more information on the feedback system refer to COMPUTERIZED ENGINE CONTROLS.The fuel system also consists of the following items:
1. Accelerator pedal.
2. Accelerator pump.
3. Air cleaner.
4. Air jet controller.
5. Choke and fast idle system.
6. Cranking leak solenoid valve.
7. Fuel cut-off relay.
8. Fuel filters (2).
9. Fuel pump.
10. Fuel tank.
11. Idle speed control system.
12. Power valve.
13. Primary slow mixture cut-off valve.
14. Throttle cable.
15. Vacuum controlled secondary.
