TBI Fuel Injector Replacement:
WARNING:
Do not smoke while working on the fuel system.
Keep open flames or sparks away from the work area.
Relieve fuel pressure only with the engine OFF.
1. Disconnect the negative battery from the battery.
2. Remove fuel filler cap.

3. Use a box end wrench on the 6 mm service bolt on top of the fuel filter, while holding the special banjo bolt with another wrench.
4. Place a rag or shop towel over the 6 mm bolt and wrenches, to absorb the fuel leakage.
5. Slowly loosen the 6 mm bolt one complete turn.
NOTE:
A fuel pressure gauge may be attached at the 6 mm service bolt hole.
Always replace the washer between the service bolt and the special banjo bolt, whenever the service bolt is loosened to relieve fuel pressure.
Replace all washers whenever the bolts are removed to disassemble parts.
6. Loosen the 4 bolts and remove the air intake cover.
7. Remove the air intake chamber.
8. Disconnect the 2P electrical connector from the injector.
9. Loosen the screws, then remove the injectors from the throttle body.
NOTE: Place a rag or shop towel over the throttle body.
10. Coat new O-rings with clean engine oil and put them on the injector.
11. Insert the injectors into the throttle body.
NOTE: After the injector is inserted, be sure that it turns smoothly about 30°.
12. Install the hold-down screws and connect the 2P electrical connectors.
13. Turn the ignition switch ON but DO NOT start engine. After the fuel pump runs for approximately 2 seconds, the fuel pressure in the fuel line increases. Repeat two or three times, and check for fuel leaks.
