EXPLANATION OF FAULT CODESIf fault codes other than those listed in the chart are indicated, verify the code. If the code indicated is not listed in the chart, substitute a known-good ECU and recheck. If this solves the problem, replace the original ECU.
Fault codes can result from poor or intermittent electrical connection or wire problems. First check the electrical connections and wires, make repairs as necessary.
If CODE 11, or more than 17 are indicated, count the number of blinks again. If the Indicator is in fact blinking these codes, substitute a known good ECU and recheck. If the original indication goes away, replace the original ECU.
NOTE: If the CHECK ENGINE warning light is on and the ECU LED is on but not blinking, Substitute a known good ECU and recheck.
