General System Description
The Honda Prelude uses a fuel control system called Programmed Carburetion (PGM CARB). The main component consists of two Keihin 1bbl sidedraft carburetors. The PGM unit controls fuel mixture through a solenoid valve that regulates the the amount of air allowed to bypass the carburetor. For more information on the feedback system refer to COMPUTERIZED ENGINE CONTROLS.The fuel system also consists of the following items:
1. Accelerator pedal.
2. Air cleaner.
3. Air jet controller.
4. Choke and fast idle system.
5. Cranking leak solenoid valve.
6. Fuel cut-off relay.
7. Fuel filters (2).
8. Fuel pump.
9. Fuel tank.
10. Power valve system.
11. Primary slow mixture cut-off valve.
12. Slow air jet control system.
13. Throttle cable.
14. Throttle control system.
15. Vacuum piston control valve.
