General System Description

The Honda Prelude uses a fuel control system called Programmed Carburetion (PGM CARB). The main component consists of two Keihin 1bbl sidedraft carburetors. The PGM unit controls fuel mixture through a solenoid valve that regulates the the amount of air allowed to bypass the carburetor. The fuel system also consists of the following items:



1. Accelerator pedal.
2. Air cleaner.
3. Air jet controller.
4. Choke and fast idle system.
5. Cranking leak solenoid valve.
6. Fuel cut-off relay.
7. Fuel filters (2).
8. Fuel pump.
9. Fuel tank.
10. Power valve system.
11. Primary slow mixture cut-off valve.
12. Slow air jet control system.
13. Throttle cable.
14. Throttle control system.
15. Vacuum piston control valve.
