Steering Wheel - Squeaks When Turning

Squelch Steering
Column Squeaks

A squeak from the steering column area when the steering wheel is turned (with the engine running) may be caused by a dry right rack seal. Pull the right rack boot back and spray the seal with rust penetrant. If the rust penetrant doesn't eliminate the noise, but you're sure it's the seal that's squeaking, replace the seal. Pack the lips of the new seal with grease before installing it.
